PHYTOTHERAPY AND GEMMOTHERAPY
"There are different forces in gemmes, leaves, buds, raw fruits,
mature fruits... We should consequently pay attention to all kind of
buds. There are different maturation levels in buds, stocks, leaves, flowers, fruits "
Parakelsos
Phytotherapy is based on the use of pharmaceutical herbs for
therapeutic aim. Modern phytotherapy differs from the individual
drastic substances of classic medicine.
The classic medicine is constituted by a drastic substance (which
may contain synthetic molecules or molecules of plant origin
isolated from plant clusters) aiming (the classic medicine)
to strike a concrete with fast and powerful action and result.
The plant cluster is often constituted by a total of substances, so
much drastic as other components (that differ so much from initial
drastic substance as between them), which (constitutive) ostensibly
they cannot be responsible in charge of pharmacological action and
they however contribute in the total result.
That is to say, it is a biochemical cluster, dynamic and single,
constituted from the reciprocal reaction and the simultaneous
presence of multiple molecules (various orders of organic substances,
trace elements, metals, vitamins, ferments....) which have their
biological operations interconnective.
We find ourselves confronted with a wide cluster of drastic
substances. We have to face a large band of components which act in different
objectives or even in a unique objective with different mechanisms.
The result is to practice in a "theory of holistic confrontation and treatment".
The plant –therapeutic concoctions do not present direct results. In
order to express their results a relatively long-term
issuing is essential. From the other hand, in case of supercourse
and long terming use they do not effect harmfully.
For the preparation of therapeutic herbs, modern phytotherapy uses
the maternal dilutions that is to say the dilutions that are useful
as base for the homeopathetic concoctions.
The maternal dilutions are prepared, medicating the fresh or drained
herb (which has grown in its natural part and which is collected in
the regular period and season of harvest) in solution of alcohol,
generally, 10%-25%. The degrees of alcohol that are recommended are
45-65. The impregnation in alcohol last 21 days and in glass dark
bottles.
After impregnation, transfusion follows, distillation under constant
pressure, infiltration and redefinition of alcoholic title. The
attributes of maternal dilutions depend on the presence of drastic
substances: flavonoid, saponins, ethereal oils, tannins, alkaloid,
trace elements, metals etc. |
