Homeopathy is
the clinical application of "law of similar ", which determines the
parallel action that exists between the toxicological force of a
substance and the therapeutic force of the same substance. "Each
substance, which is capable to cause symptoms in a
healthy person, can also cure in infinitesimal dose the same
symptoms in an ill"…
For example, each of us, knows the results from the abuse of coffee,
hyperexcitation of nervous system and insomnia. According to the
beginning of homeopathy, the better antidote at the abuse of coffee
and caffeine is the coffee itself, granted in infinitesimal dose.
Another example is the following: when you clean an onion, your eyes
tear and you begin to cry. The onion in infinitesimal doses, is the
medicament for an allergic conjuctivitis and rhinitis.
Cantharis, insect, known from the ancient years for its
aphrodisiac attributes, in toxic doses causes a powerful infection
and inflamation of urinary roads. In infinitesimal doses it cures
the haemorrhagic cystitis. Hippocrates’ proverb says: "The same
substances that caused the illness can also cure it".
 Similarly, the sting of bee, because of its poison, causes the
appearance of intumescence, edema, nettle rash, itching and
stinging, symptoms that become better with the application of cold
water. The same poison, in infinitesimal doses, can cure each type
of dermal diseases that present the above symptoms and that become
better with cold water, as eczema,
nettle
rash, or solar erythema.
Looking at the long past, we discover the
picture of three brilliant personalities: Hippocrates, Parakelsos
and Hahnemann. The first horizon to which is presented the idea
of the law of similar and consequently the homeopathy in the
simplest form, is the horizon of Ancient Greek Culture of third b.c.
century, during which Hippocrates acts.
